OCEAN CITY CONVENTION – 2008

This year the Convention was great. We had 16 rooms plus the hospitality suite. We all went to Coins Restaurant as a group. The food was great and we had two tables for Ravens Roost #75. Our float in the parade was once again designed by Debbie Knisley and she did a fantastic job. For those of you who did not attend, Ravens Roost #75 was the Ravens Purpleneck Band. Debbie Knisley, AnnaRita Hydock, and Cindy Layton all dressed up like hillbillies and played instruments. We had an outhouse with a Steeler player in it, which was the Steeler VIP lounge. Thanks to Warren Mortimer for doing his clown thing and John Dabbs for wearing his Raven head in the parade. Thanks also to Carl and Mary Harding for carrying the banner. Thanks also goes out to parade participants Don Knisley, Bob Hydock, Randy Flanary, Lisa Henze, and Maryann Schmitz. What a great convention!

GOLF TOURNAMENT

The 4^th Annual Golf Tournament will be held Friday September 19, 2008 at the Bay Hills Golf Club. The cost per person is $100. Once again we need your help in obtaining sponsors and donations. Please contact Warren Mortimer 410-255-9158, Jerry Cobb 443-257-2531, or Bob Hydock 410-437-6993 for more information. Also, if you need copies of the forms we will have them at the meetings. We also need your help in selling 50-50 raffle tickets for the tournament.

FOR SALE

We have some left over shirts, cooler bags, and koozies from the convention. If anyone is interested see Cindy Layton. The shirts are black with our logo on them and the cost is $7. We have large and extra large. The cooler bag is purple and holds a six pack. The cost for the bag is $4 and the koozie is also purple and the cost is $1. Both the cooler and koozie have the Ravens Roost #75 logo on them. We also have a men’s jersey knit polo in XL for $15, Cool & Dry white tee shirts in L and XL for $20, and one Ladies Cool & Dry polo white/black trim for $25.
